- Team T.O.K.Y.O. (Togetherness Of Konfident Young Opportunists) is a group of young musicians including 2B-Announced (rapper), DJ Kunseit (rapper/dj), DJ Kutta (dj) and Kwes The Beast (producer). All of the members are from Durham, NC except for 2B-Announced who is from Springfield, Massachusetts. However, the group came together at North Carolina Central University. “We wasn’t even supposed to be a group” says DJ Kunseit of the group’s formation. The group started after recording their breakout single “Stroke On Em (The Swim Song).” It started out as a dance created by DJ Kunseit. 2BA, who liked the dance, approached Kunseit about making it into a song. They teamed up with Kwes The Beast and Young Swift and from there magic was created. The song became very popular on the campus of North Carolina Central University. DJ Kutta & DJ Kunseit, who had formed the KOK Music Group, popularized the record by giving it spins at all the college parties. From that point, Team T.O.K.Y.O. picked up spins all over North Carolina.
